G-spot vibrator: what it is, how to use it and how to choose one (India guide)

What the G-spot is, how a curved G-spot vibrator works, step-by-step first use, how to choose between bullet, wand and rabbit styles, and how to buy one discreetly in India.

A G-spot vibrator is a vibrator with a curved or angled tip, designed to reach the front wall of the vagina. If you've used an external vibrator and are curious about internal stimulation, it's the natural next step. This guide explains what the G-spot is, how to use a G-spot vibrator the first time, and what to look for when you buy one in India.

What is the G-spot?

The 'G-spot' is the name commonly used for a sensitive area on the front wall of the vagina (the side towards the belly), a few centimetres inside. Researchers still debate whether it's a separate structure or part of the wider clitoral network, and that debate doesn't matter much in practice: some women find firm pressure there very pleasurable, some feel very little, and both are normal. A G-spot vibrator simply makes it easier to explore that area than fingers alone.

How is a G-spot vibrator different?

  • The curve. The tip bends upwards so it presses on the front wall without awkward wrist angles.
  • Firmer pressure. Many people describe G-spot sensation as needing pressure more than speed, so the shaft is usually firmer than a soft external toy.
  • A smooth, rounded head that's easy to insert with lube.

You'll find the curve in several styles in our G-spot vibrators range, and it's also part of most rabbit vibrators.

Types of G-spot vibrator

  • Curved bullet: small, quiet and beginner-friendly. Good for gentle internal use and precise external use. Browse bullet vibrators.
  • Classic curved G-spot vibrator: a longer shaft with a pronounced curve and nothing else to get in the way. See what's in stock in G-spot vibrators.
  • Rabbit with a G-spot curve: adds an external arm for the clitoris at the same time, such as the 10-speed G-spot clitoris massager. See how to use a rabbit vibrator.
  • Wand with a curved attachment: for people who already own a wand and want an internal option. Our wand massager guide explains wands.

How to use a G-spot vibrator: step by step

  • Charge it or fit fresh batteries, and wash it with warm water and mild soap.
  • Take your time getting aroused first. Use the vibrator or your fingers externally on a low setting before trying anything internal. Arousal makes internal play much more comfortable.
  • Add a generous amount of water-based lube to the tip and to yourself.
  • Lie on your back with your knees bent. Insert the tip slowly, with the curve facing upwards towards your belly button, about 5–7 cm in.
  • Instead of thrusting, try a slow rocking or 'come here' movement, pressing the tip gently against the front wall. Change the angle a little until you find a spot that feels different.
  • Turn the vibration up only once you've found a position you like. Many people prefer firm pressure with a low setting.
  • Add external stimulation with your other hand, a partner, or a rabbit-style arm.

It's common to feel a sudden urge to pee when the G-spot is stimulated. Emptying your bladder beforehand helps you relax. If anything hurts, stop. Mild discomfort the first time usually means you need more arousal, more lube or a smaller toy.

Using a G-spot vibrator with a partner

A partner can hold the vibrator while you guide the angle and speed, which takes the pressure off getting it 'right' yourself. Talk about what you'd like to try beforehand, and agree on a simple word for 'slow down'. Couples who want both partners to feel vibration during sex often prefer a couple vibrator, which is worn rather than held.

How to choose a G-spot vibrator

  • Size: if you're new to internal toys, choose a slimmer shaft (around 3 cm wide or less). Bigger isn't better here; the angle matters more.
  • Material: smooth, body-safe silicone is easiest to clean. Read our silicone vs TPE guide.
  • Power: rechargeable toys are convenient; battery toys are cheaper to start with and easy to replace.
  • Waterproofing: check the product page if you want to use it in the shower.
  • Controls: one or two simple buttons are easier to use than a crowded panel when you're relaxed.
  • Budget: you don't need to spend a lot. Our list of the best vibrators under ₹2,000 includes curved options.

Cleaning and storage

Wash the toy before and after every use with warm water and mild unscented soap or a toy cleaner, paying attention to the curve and any seams. Keep the charging port dry unless the product page says the toy is waterproof. Dry it completely and keep it in a breathable pouch. Use only water-based lube with silicone toys. Our cleaning and storage guide has more detail.

When to talk to a doctor

Pain during or after internal play, bleeding, or discomfort that keeps coming back are worth discussing with a gynaecologist. The same goes if you're pregnant, have recently given birth or have an infection. A vibrator is a wellness product, not a treatment.
